Question Are ankle supports meant to go over or under your sock?
Recently I bought one of those slip on ankle supports. I don't know if it should go over or under my sock. They both seem comfortable but which gives more benefit?

Question Ways to get better ankle support out of rental ice skates?
Right now I do not have any of my own hockey skates and some of my friends want to go ice skating, but the last time I had to rent skates the ankle support sucked and it made it quite difficult to skate. Is there somthing I could do to improve this? I know of some ways but I want to see what you guys know.

Best Answer I would suggest wearing smaller (not too small, but small enough so hopefully you can get a tighter fit so you can get more support), and to tie the skates fairly tight, just be careful that you don't cut off your circulation. Having properly fitted skates, and lacing them properly and maybe a decent pair of socks (like a thin pair of polyester socks are adequate) is about all that I can think of to hopefully give you some more ankle support.
