Question How much weight can the human leg support?
My volleyball coach told me to look up how much weight can the human leg support. If I don't get the answer he'll make me run ten laps around the gym. Please answer this question!

Best Answer the human leg can support between 1500 and 1800 pounds just with the femur (thigh bone) alone the muscles in you leg can add to it to make it more but that varied. as an adult the leg can support 1500-1800 depending on what body type you have. big strong men.. lol, can do the upper part of this and petite people, normally females, can support the end of the spectrum. not to be sexist, its just biology.

Question How do I attach the legs to a 500-lb oven and set it upright without using a forklift?
We recently bought a 500-lb oven which came with the four legs unattached. We can turn the oven on its side and screw in the legs but then how do we set it upright with just me and two other small guys and no forklift (heavy lifter)? Turning it after attaching the legs may break the legs supporting the weight as it is turned.

Best Answer I'd be taking the legs back off, turn the oven back upright, and put a wooden block (4x4) under it and using a floor jack, car jack, something like that. Jack it up till you can put something under it, then readjust the jack, lift it some more, put something under it. Do this till the oven is high enough for the legs to have the clearance for installation. Once you have the legs on, release the jack, SLOWLY, till the oven is on the ground. Now, if you're smart, take the wheels off your push lawnmower and attach them to a pallet and build that oven and it's legs on that pallet. When you get done, just roll the pallet into the kitchen, raise it off the pallet, remove the pallet out from under it, then start your walk. Good luck with it.
