Question Where can I get the best running apparel?
I have always been a fast passionate runner, but this is my first team. X-country. can you please answer these questions about running apparel: - What shirt to where (fabric, sleeve details) - What pants to wear (fabric, length) - What if it is cold (I live in San Francisco) - What socks to wear - Wear can I get this apparel (best quality) Thanks!

Best Answer Shirt- Nike Dry Fit. Those shirts are where it's at. Pants- I typically run in shorts. I would suggest Asics there. For running in pants, I don't know if you mean compression or sweat pants. I would suggest the Nike Stretch Woven Running Pants. Very comfy sweats. For shorts, I would go with the Asics Tempo Shorts. If it is cold, I usually wear long compression clothing under a sweatshirt and shorts. When it is really cold, I also wear a hat and neck warmer. A Saucony Drylete Neck Warmer may make you look like a burglar, but it can sure keep you warm. Any hat will do. Socks- I prefer Asics socks, but any athletic socks work. You can go to a Target or Scheels and look through a huge assortment. Just pick a pair that you like and they'll be fine. I do most of my sports shopping at Eastbay and Roadrunner.

Question What exactly is a base layer?
I keep hearing that term but I don't know what it means.
